Pastor Manny Vela Pastor Manny was born and raised in Chicago, IL to Mexican immigrants. He was brought up in a loving, Christian home. His mother and father joined the Seventh-day Adventist church early in their marriage. They instilled in him a love and respect for God that helped shape the path for ministry. Pastor Manny has a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in Biblical Languages from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN and a Master of Divinity from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. While pursuing his graduate studies, Pastor Manny developed a desire and a passion for the spiritual maturity of all those he comes in contact with, young or old, churched and unchurched. His goal is to LEAD by example, LOVE by example, and LIVE by example, ultimately pointing all to Jesus. Pastor Manny married Sara Holland of Lookout Mountain, GA. They have a friendship that dates back to boarding academy. While attending Southern Adventist University, they fell in love and were happily married in June 2006. They have two children, Oliver and Nadia, which bring spunk, energy, and laughter into their lives each and every day. Some of their favorites things to do are: hiking, biking, cooking, reading, traveling, and just simply enjoying their time together as a family. |
